Collab Musume
As we left the Wii Fit Balance competition last week, Ai had won her challenge against Sayu, and Risa had won her competition against Eri. Now it's time for Reina vs Ai.

It's the Roll the Balls in Game.
There's a platform with a hole in. Using the balance board you have to tip the platform to get the ball to roll into the hole.
The winner is: Reina

Before the final it's time for the losers to face-off to see which one can claw their way back from last place.
It's Sayu vs Eri in the Snowboarding game.
Standing on the balance board turned sideways, like a snowboard, you must snowboard down a hill, leaning from side to side to go past flags in the right direction.
The winner is: Sayu, making Eri the worst balancer of them all!

Time for the final, it's Risa vs Reina in the Tightrope Walking game.
You have to carefully lean side-to-side to walk across the tightrope. Along the way some snappy things will come at you. To jump over them you have to crouch down and then stand back up again.
The ultimate winner is: Risa!

So, Risa tops the scoreboard in first place, second place goes to Reina, third is Ai, forth is Sayu, and down at the bottom, winning neither challenge, is Eri!
As her prize Risa gets some gourmet chicken at a local restaurant, and no fat 'comedian' kid in sight!

Little Child King
Woo! So we're in a freezing cold car park in the middle of December. Why? To take on this week's King – 11 year old BMX expert Daicha Teshigahara. And his dad! Who tries to kill Akachin! He also steals Lin's catchphrase.

Time for the challenge.
It's the return of the tricycles, all be it suped-up ones!
Daicha will have to ride up and off of a ramp, then over 4 boxes, and then over 4 small hurdles. After that it's the Surfing Zone. Here he'll have to stand on top of the bike, without holding on, and 'surf'. Next it's a ramp up to the top of a car that he'll have to ride over, and then a balance beam to go along. Finally it's a jump over the finish line. As a handicap, along the course are four Stop Zones. At each of these Daicha will have to stop for 15 seconds.
While Daicha has to tackle all of these obstacles, the girls will just have to ride along the track on tricycles. The four of them complete a part of the track each, tagging the next tricycler as they reach them so they can start.
The punishment for the girls, if they lose, is having some sort of pictures shown of them on TV...

Daicha wins, but it's pretty close – especially compared to the King last races. That means we get to see the photo.

Kirarin Revolution and Morning Musume
We've finally reached the end of the Collab!

If I'd have known there was going to be a massive recap this week then I wouldn't have done it last week! But anyway, here we go:
The main character in the cartoon "Kirarin Revolution" is Kirari. She's a 14 year old who is trying to become a super-idol.
It's a popular cartoon with kids in Japan, especially girls, meaning that there's loads of merchandise and moneymaking stuff in the shops.
Kirari has a pet, a "super-cat" called Naa-san. A new character was going to be introduced. It would be a cat, and an enemy to Naa.
As the first Collab in Collab Musume, the girls were challenged to design the new character. They each drew their own original cat and all the designs were taken to the Kirarin offices for them to choose the winner.
The winning design was revealed to be Sayu's.
So we had the new character but it was nameless. Viewers were invited to send in their own names for the new character, and 1,127 entries were received (that's 1,126 plus mine :o)).
Sayu and Koharu visited the home of the person who sent in the chosen name to surprise her. The winning name was Guro-san.
Next up Guro-san needed a voice. The girls all had a chance to become Guro by taking part in a random competition. Aika was the winner.
Last week the re-designed Guro was revealed. This is how he'll appear in the cartoon. It's pretty much faithful to Sayu's original design. Straight after it was time for Aika to record her lines. "Guro, Guro, Gurooooo".

Back to now, and it's Guro-san's premiere. The audience is full of little Kirarin fans, and Mizuki, who named Guro, joins Morning Musume on stage.

And finally, it's time for us all to watch Guro-san's first appearance on the show.

Next week: Let's Viking! With Bananaman. And some bananas. Plus Jun, with a banana. Banana!

This week's credits music is Ongaku Gatas' new single: "Yattarouze!".
